Here's what the humans have to say about me:
MEET JAWS!
This smiley little Chihuahua is named Jaws! Jaws found himself homeless and in Philly's animal control shelter this spring but was lucky enough to land a dream foster home with City of Elderly Love! When Jaws came to the shelter, he had some pretty dirty teeth and wasn't feeling too well so we thought he was older than he is. Since having him examined by our vets and having his teeth professionally cleaned, we've realized that he's likely only around 4 years old - whoops!
So while this fake senior is available for adoption through a senior pet rescue, he has lots of puppy energy! His goofy, loving personality started shining though immediately. Jaws adores people and will be your best friend immediately if you give him belly rubs of butt scratches. He also loves playing with rope toys which he flings across the room or yard so he can chase after it all over again! Jaws is currently living with other dogs, but can be a bit picky when meeting other smaller dogs his size. He seems to prefer the company of large dogs and if is given a proper introduction, does great with them. He's also currently living with cats (and foster kittens!) who he gets along with great! While he's not currently living with kids, he'd likely do well in a home with older kids who will play and snuggle with him, his two favorite things in life! We think Jaws would be happiest with an active family. Jaws is the perfect size and energy level to be a great wingman, brunch date, or companion for a trip to the hardware store. Could he be your new best friend?
Jaws is available for adoption through City of Elderly Love. He is neutered, vaccinated and microchipped. He is also heartworm and lymes disease negative. He also recently had a dental.
