My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Jaxon is an incredibly cute ball of cottony fur that climbs into your heart (and lap) with a wag and a soft kiss. He has been identified by the Texas shelter and his rescuer as a very sweet dog who will make an engaging and loving family member.

Once he gets a sudsy bath and grooming...Jaxon will absolutely be one of the most beautiful guys around. His thick golden coat appears to be either non-shedding or lightly shedding..it's difficult to tell until his sad shelter hair grows out... and he receives the benefit of great nutrition and periodic grooming. At that point, he'll have a gorgeous and Terrier-scruffy golden coat that will speak of good health.

At about 12 - 18 months old and 11 lbs, Jaxon is every bit the young and joyful guy..check out his photo with an ear to ear smile - that's typical of sweet Jaxon! He's very fun and active..just waiting to bring his special personality to light up the home of a kind, dog-loving family.

At this early point in Jaxon''s development, he loves everyone..be it human or canine (cats are unknown). We want to nurture this positive vision of the world by matching Jaxon to a family who expresses their love and commitment to him in many different ways. We'd like Jaxon to be an important family member that is nurtured and given the gift of socialization to make him the very best adult dog he's capable of being.

Right now, Jaxon is a blank slate who will soak up positive feedback with every effort to be the best behaved guy around. It's a perfect time to start positive reinforcement group training classes...Jaxon will respond to this guidance with far greater bonding with his family and trustworthy behavior out in the community. Farfel's is happy to provide a list of force-free trainers in your area.

We'd love Jaxon to be with retirees who are absolutely dog-crazy or with a younger, active family that will include this sweet and fun guy in their activities. Jaxon is so portable that he can easily be a constant companion - he would love nothing more than long walks/hikes, trips to the store (he's a great window-shopping friend) or even a place at a pet-friendly workplace.

Jaxon loves being outside in the warm sunshine..therefore a walk on neighborhood paths or in the Colorado mountains would really speak to this little guy. Jaxon is young enough that he is open to being introduced to virtually any situation...and if there is love and gentle guidance, he can succeed. Jaxon's forever family needs to have the motivation and energy for a young dog...he requires behavioral guidance, tons of love to give him a positive attitude about the world and a warm lap to welcome him at the end of a busy day.

Jaxon may not be neutered when he arrives on transport in Denver -this rural Texas area has far too many dogs and not enough vets to fix these pups before they leave the area. Farfel's will be happy to cover all costs to neuter and microchip Jaxon at our Denver vet after his arrival in Colorado.

Jaxon will be arriving on transport in Boulder on Saturday 7/29/17. Applications are currently being accepted for this wonderful guy. If interested in this very loving and loyal best friend, please fill out an application at http://farfelsrescue.com/adoption/ and submit to farfelsapps@gmail.com or fax to 303-443-7730.
