Beau is a handsome, four-year-old, 18-pound, male, black and white Shih Tzu looking for a patient dog-loving guardian.

Beau enjoys the company of other dogs; I’m not sure if he’s ever met a cat.

He’s a nice dog for the right person, but he is more for the experienced dog-lover who has no children in their home. He has been known to bite when fearful.

Beau was relinquished to Chicago Animal Care and Control for snapping at family members who were visiting their grandma. He was well-behaved for the groomer when trimming hair away from his eyes, so he is accustomed to being handled, but he is definitely best with a patient dog-lover willing to work with him.

Beau is healthy, neutered, up-to-date on vaccines, micro-chipped and heartworm-tested.
