My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Peaches and Petey are a funny couple of Chihuahua and Pit Bull Terrier looking for a loving guardian - together.

Peaches is a one-year-old, 10-pound female Chihuahua, and Petey is an 18-month-old, 62-pound male pit bull.

They are both sweet, cuddly and lovable dogs – full of kisses and tail wags for everyone they meet, however they do take a little longer to warm up to most men. But they come around when treated with kindness and love.

They are housebroken when taken out on a regular basis. They know the command sit and take treats very gently.

These poor dogs were no more than skin and bones when they came into rescue. They were found stray in an Indiana industrial park.

They are best with adults who will work on their training. Petey can be a bit mouthy in play and likes to chase cars while out on walks.

They are both very healthy, spayed/neutered, de-wormed, up-to-date on vaccines, micro-chipped and heartworm-tested negative, and on monthly heartworm preventative. They are at the Pei Land Rescue in Plano, Illinois. Their adoption fee of $225 as a pair benefits rescued pets.
