Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Barnaby is a timid and nervous cat. The root of the problem is unknown but it appears he was deprived of human attention and grew up wary of humans. Barnaby may hiss and run from his human companion. When he feels safe and comfortable, he welcomes petting. Barnaby likes to keep his paws grounded, he is not fond of being picked up. His ideal home is one that is calm with human companions that are patient in letting him come to you on his own time. Barnaby needs a home that will provide him with a quiet refuge where he can retreat in times of stress. He will not interact with children and prefers not to be around dogs. He does well with other cats. Barnaby is an 11-month old flame point Himalayan-mix with Siamese-blue eyes. He came to Friends of Jackson County with deep wounds from being entangled in barbed wire.
