Zeus's Story...
http://www.valleydogs.org/dogs/other_zeus.html
Hello I am Zeus. I wondered up to my foster mom's house looking for a game of soccer. I saw the balls in the driveway and figured the game was on. I had so much fun I decided to stay. She can't keep me though because she has five other big dogs and a litter of kids.

I am not quite a year old yet. I way about 80 lbs right now and by the size of my paws I may get a little bigger. I think I am a mix between a Bull Mastiff and Retriever (as I have a flat tail like a rudder - water dogs have such a tail). I am house broken and love to go for walks. I wont do my business on a leash so I will need a back yard please. I can sit and shake but I still need some manners training.

I get along with other dogs but not sure about cats. I love kids but because of my size and playfulness they should be older kids. I like to swim and lay around in the pool. By the way I really love to play soccer, I just don't understand why the balls keep going flat.

Please give me a home.

Please complete an adoption interest form and email it to twowomenintheshoe@cox.net if you are interested in meeting me.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Zeus, a Gilbert Mastiff/Labrador Retriever dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Mastiff/Labrador Retriever for sale in Gilbert, or seeking a Mastiff/Labrador Retriever dog from a breeder in Gilbert.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Gilbert already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Gilbert breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Mastiff/Labrador Retriever breeders who help with Mastiff/Labrador Retriever rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Gilbert paves the way for another one to be saved.
