My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Reily is an absolutely magnificent, gentle, extremely friendly and lovable five-month-old male Great Pyrenees puppy looking for a loving home. He was given up by his original family to a high-kill shelter in Ohio because the people had no idea how big Great Pyrenees dogs can get … at five months, Reily is 53 pounds and will no doubt almost double in size by adulthood. He’s joined my household as my foster puppy until he finds a permanent loving home. Everywhere we walk together, people want to stop and pet him … and that’s just fine with Reily! His fluffy white fur feels as soft as a cotton ball, and he just adores the attention. He’s just fine with me hugging, kissing him and touching him all over – even on his rear paws which have extra digits. Reily doesn’t know any formal commands yet, but he walks beautifully on leash and he’s crate-trained. He’s great with other dogs and cats, extremely healthy, vet-checked, professionally groomed, de-wormed, up to date on rabies and distemper vaccines, and treated with flea preventative. He will be neutered upon adoption. His adoption fee of $300 benefits rescued pets. Reily is looking for a home where someone understands the breed, has time to devote to training a puppy, and keeping his gorgeous plush coat brushed at least once a week. Because Great Pyrenees were bred to guard flocks, they have a deep loud bark, so he’d probably be best in a home, versus an apartment or condo where neighbors might complain..
