My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Arrival story: This beautiful girl's owner can no longer keep her so we're helping find her a great new home.

Approximate age / weight: 1 year old and 49 pounds. Shade is full grown and doesn't think that she's too big to be a lap dog. She's just a cuddler!

Personality: Shade is a young, playful, affectionate dog. Her life will be complete once a family finds her and makes her their girl. Like all young dogs, she enjoys playing and would like to go on walks or jogs with her new people. Shade is great with other dogs and good with cats. In fact, she keeps trying to convince the cats she lives with that they want to play with her. So far, they remain unconvinced but Shade isn't giving up hope! This girl rides well in the car, walks well on a leash, loves people, is housetrained and enjoys playtime as much as she enjoys cuddling up with her people for some love. What more could you ask for?

Shade attended her first adoption event in September. It can be stressful for dogs with so much
activity but this girl did really well. She's just a well-rounded, even tempered dog.

So, stop looking, and make this girl part of your family. Doggy smiles and tail wags are waiting just for you!

Forever home: A loving, active family that is looking for a best friend!

Pre-Adoption Application: To be considered for a dog, it is best to submit a pre-adoption application. The Pre-Adoption Application can be downloaded from our website - http://www.waggintailsdogrescue.org/adoptionprocess.html. Just complete the application and email it back to wtdr2008@yahoo.com

Waggin' Tails Adoption Information: Waggin' Tails Dog Rescue has a standard adoption fee of $175 for adult dogs. Different adoption fees apply for older dogs, small breeds and puppies - $100 for senior dogs (9 years ), $275 for small breed dogs and $200 for puppies plus a $50 deposit which is returned upon proof of spay/neuter at six months of age.
Our adoption process includes an application, vet reference checks, and a home visit.

We do not have a facility; all of our dogs are fostered in private homes. To view our dogs, please check www.waggintailsdogrescue.org for the dates of our next adoption events. To meet a dog in person, please see our event calendar for the latest information. Arrangements can be made to meet our rescue dogs outside of Saturday adoption events after an approved application is submitted (the application does not imply an obligation by the applicant or by the rescue group).

Please be kind to our volunteers who have made rescue a second job that they do in their spare time after coming home from full-time jobs. E-mail inquiries will be answered much more quickly than phone inquiries; our phone number is a voice mailbox only.

Thank you for your support of rescue and your interest in a rescue dog!
