Gemini's Story...
Gemini is a handsome, well-behaved, friendly, active and loving, 8-month-old, 32-pound, male, Schipperke/Shepherd-mix puppy looking for a loving home. Poor little Gemini was found in a dumpster with another dog at an animal control facility. He is a little guy, standing only about knee height. Gemini is a bit shy, but does not object to being handled, he is most likely overwhelmed with his surroundings at the busy shelter. He does not mind being around other dogs. Gemini will probably be about 40 to 45 pounds as an adult. He will be neutered, vaccinated, and micro-chipped upon adoption. Please contact sheri@petraits.com or call 312-961-4571. His adoption fee of $200 benefits rescued pets.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Gemini, a Chicago Shepherd (Unknown Type)/Schipperke dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Shepherd (Unknown Type)/Schipperke for sale in Chicago, or seeking a Shepherd (Unknown Type)/Schipperke dog from a breeder in Chicago.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Chicago already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Chicago breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Shepherd (Unknown Type)/Schipperke breeders who help with Shepherd (Unknown Type)/Schipperke rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Chicago paves the way for another one to be saved.
