Katie's Info...

I am already spayed, housetrained, purebred, up to date with shots, and not good with cats.

Katie's Story...
Katie is a beautiful, muscular, active and energetic, one-year-old, 45-pound, purebred chocolate and vanilla American Staffordshire Terrier with AKC papers looking for a loving home. This beautiful girl was given up to a shelter in Georgia and appears to have already been housebroken and crate-trained. Katie’s human had lost his job and eventually his home was foreclosed upon. She already knows how to sit on command, loves car rides and takes treats very gently from your fingers. She has a high prey drive so she is a looking for a home without any cats. Katie is healthy, spayed, up-to-date on rabies, distemper, and bordatella vaccines, micro-chipped, and heartworm-tested. To meet and possibly adopt her, please contact Sue at recsvcspecinc@sbcglobal.net or 815-268-4164. Katie’s adoption fee of $150 benefits rescued dogs.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Katie, a Chicago American Staffordshire Terrier dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a American Staffordshire Terrier for sale in Chicago, or seeking a American Staffordshire Terrier dog from a breeder in Chicago.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Chicago already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Chicago breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even American Staffordshire Terrier breeders who help with American Staffordshire Terrier rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Chicago paves the way for another one to be saved.
