Pecan & Sweet Potato's Story...
Sweet Potato and Pecan are a pair of delicious, sweet, gentle, playful and fabulously fun five to six-month-old, golden-eyed, black and white female sister kittens looking for a loving home. Sweet Potato and Pecan get along beautifully with the other cats. They snuggle endlessly, so they would love to find a great home together. Pecan is the ultra snugly cat. You can hold her like a baby, kiss her belly and she just purrs. Sweet Potato is the playgirl sister. While she’ll tolerate being pet and snuggled, she’d much rather be bolting around the room after a laser toy or jumping for a feather. Both kittens are perfect with their litter box habits and love to use their scratching post like good girls. They have all their claws and would like to keep it that way. Sweet Potato and Pecan are healthy, spayed, up-to-date on rabies and distemper vaccines, virus-tested, and de-wormed. To meet and possibly adopt this delightful duo, please contact sheri@petraits.com or 312-961-4571. Their adoption fee of $100 as a pair supports rescued pets.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Pecan & Sweet Potato, a Chicago Domestic Shorthair kitten was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Shorthair for sale in Chicago, or seeking a Domestic Shorthair kitten from a breeder in Chicago.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Chicago already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Chicago breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Chicago paves the way for another one to be saved.
