Buddy's Story...
Buddy is an absolutely adorable, sweet and fun 20-pound, black and white wire-haired terrier-mix/schnauzer-mix. This cutie knows the command sit and takes treats gently from your fingers. He is very energetic, good with other dogs, and looks like he has springs for legs because he’s so bouncy. He is already crate and house-trained. He is up-to-date on vaccines, heartworm-tested, treated for worms and fleas and micro-chipped. To meet and possibly any of them, please contact WCHS volunteer Kathy at mmsimon7@aol.com or 815-671-3230, or the Will County Humane Society at 815-741-0695. You can visit these dogs and the many cats of WCHS at 24109 W Seil Road in Shorewood, Illinois, from noon to 4:30 pm Saturday, Sunday, Tuesday and Thursday.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Buddy, a Chicago Wirehaired Fox Terrier/Schnauzer (Miniature) dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Wirehaired Fox Terrier/Schnauzer (Miniature) for sale in Chicago, or seeking a Wirehaired Fox Terrier/Schnauzer (Miniature) dog from a breeder in Chicago.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Chicago already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Chicago breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Wirehaired Fox Terrier/Schnauzer (Miniature) breeders who help with Wirehaired Fox Terrier/Schnauzer (Miniature) rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Chicago paves the way for another one to be saved.
