Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Rocket is a lover with people he trusts - and when he's not cuddling up to you, he'll keep you laughing with his antics. He's not especially energetic - in fact, one of his favorite activities is to be pushed around in a baby stroller - but he loves to spin in circles and loop-the-loop, and will also occupy himself by carrying sticks and pine cones around his foster family's property.
A pocket-sized 18 lbs, he was probably born in about 2007. He was picked up last winter on an empty stretch of Eastern WA highway in the middle of a snow storm, where he and his companion, a young female Rottweiler, had been dumped. This was not the first act of unkindness this little guy experienced ... He is afraid of men and can get nippy around strangers. But with women he trusts he is a sweetheart and a snuggler. His foster mom says he's "a real gentleman, and a joy to have around."
Like all Mikey's Chance dogs, Rocket will come to you neutered, microchipped, current on shots and treated for internal and external parasites. His adoption fee of $185 will help offset the costs of his care. He is living in a foster home near Portland, Oregon, but we will work with an approved adopter to transport him anywhere in the Pacific Northwest.
Can you offer this calm, loving little dog a quiet, happy home? Please contact us at mikeyschance@gmail.com for an adoption application and more information about Rocket.
