My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

HOPE---"Our COMPANION-- HAPPY--GENTLE--LOVING" Hope is a beautiful, 45 lb., 1 1/2 year old, American Staffordshire Terrier/Black Labrador Retriever mix!!! Hope did not have the easiest start in life and not that long ago, "Hope" was actually pretty HOPELESS....

Hope was left outside to die Scared, Alone, and Baking in our 100 degree heat with NO shelter, NO shade, NO food and NO WATER! The sun just beating down on her. Day after day, Week after week, she suffered this torture. And to think, her "family" did this to her.

But thanks to a caring neighbor who alerted us to the situation, this wonderful, sweet girl found the "Hope" that she so desperately needed. When we heard about Hope we couldn't get to her fast enough. Despite her tragic past Hope holds no grudge and is happy and grateful for everyday. In fact she is one of the happiest pups we have seen with a glowing personality and temperament. Hope has since been spayed and fully vetted. She is HW negative and one happy, healthy Loving little girl.

Hope DESERVES to receive the love, compassion and safety of a Forever Family. She needs a family that is willing to teach, train but most of all love this true companion pup. She DESERVES to be loved, nurtured, cared for and part of a true family who will see what a treasure she is and love her..

She stayed with one of our volunteer's family for 2 weeks after she was spayed and she did exceptionally well. She got along great with our 2 cats as well as our 2 dogs (a male and a female - both American Staffordshire Terrier -mixes). She was very gentle and loving with every new person she met. She was great with the volunteer's baby and would lick his hands when he would crawl over to her and pull himself up on her kennel. She walked well on a leash and seems very eager to please. She is extremely smart and willing to learn anything you want to teach her. She will be a great family pet and very easy to train. She is such a love bug and just wants to curl up in your lap and soak up the snuggles!

She loves everyone she meets but would prefer a male dog buddy that would want to spend his day romping and playing with Hope.

She needs a home where she can learn to live inside a house. She needs to be with a family who is willing to bring her in and work with her and really make her part of the family. She is desperate for some love and attention. Hope only has one request and her eyes told us this the first time we met her. She wants to belong!!! She wants to be a part of a family and at night when she snuggles on her soft bed the last thing she will hear spoken by her family is "Hope we love you", and she will lift her head, wag her tail and we know this is her way of saying "I Love You Too" and Hope will drift off to sleep her wish has been granted, she has her family and is loved!!!! If you would like to learn more about making Hope a part of your family please contact******GLENDA glendak4@comcast.net (Hope is in located in TN. and will arrive in New England on a pet transport when adopted)
