Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Dolly is a short, squat, happy, friendly, responsive and well-trained, three-year-old, 75-pound, full-figured, fawn and white American Staffordshire Terrier looking for the perfect home. Dolly was taken to Chicago Animal Care and Control as part of a cruelty investigation. While at the facility, she participated in Safe Humane Chicago's weekly pairing of shelter dogs with juvenile felons for training and socialization. This program teaches teenage boys who have been introduced to violence the importance of compassion toward animals. After the court case program, Dolly was taken in by Chicago Canine Rescue. Dolly loves to learn, and enjoys pleasing her people. Her tail is always happily wagging. She loves going on walks, is fantastic on leash, and knows the commands sit, down, and is working on drop it. Dolly loves to play fetch, and is crate-trained, and appears to be housebroken. Dolly is healthy, spayed, de-wormed, up-to-date on vaccines, heartworm-tested, and micro-chipped. Her adoption fee of $200 benefits the dogs of Chicago Canine Rescue. She is looking for a dog-experienced family with adults and teenagers who can continue her training and daily exercise – hopefully with a fenced yard so she can continue to play her favorite game of fetch. She would do best as the one and only canine in the household. You can view a video of Dolly, and fill out an adoption application at: http://www.chicagocaninerescue.com/dogs.html
