Momi's Story...
Momi is a very beautiful, shy, and loving, one-year-old black and white tuxedo cat looking for a loving home. Momi was found outside with a litter of kittens. If she looks a little crabby, maybe it’s because all her kids have found homes and she hasn’t. She doesn’t ask for much … a soft bed to sleep on and a window to look out at birds and squirrels. Momi is fine with other cats and fits right in … In fact, she may prefer their company to that of people. Do you blame her? Momi is very healthy, spayed, de-wormed, up-to-date on rabies and distemper vaccines, micro-chipped, and virus-tested. To meet and possibly adopt her, please contact Anne at or 773-576-5085. Her adoption fee of $50 benefits rescued pets.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Momi, a Chicago Domestic Shorthair cat was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Shorthair for sale in Chicago, or seeking a Domestic Shorthair cat from a breeder in Chicago.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Chicago already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Chicago breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Chicago paves the way for another one to be saved.
