Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Samwise--"Sammy"-- is a very clever little boy and is usually the first of his siblings to figure things out. He is also fairly athletic, and was the first puppy to figure out how to make his way out of the puppy play area to explore. He plays hard but is ready for a nap at a moment's notice. Sammy is a friendly, affectionate little sweetheart who loves to snuggle close. He is quite the tail-wagger when meeting new people or dogs, hanging back for just a minute to be sure it's safe, while wagging his tail furiously the entire time.
Sammy loves his toys, playing chase and tackle with his siblings, nap time in his fluffy bed, and "cookies." He is fairly reliably potty pad trained and is accustomed to sleeping in a puppy-proofed enclosed pen with his siblings, so will graduate easily to a wire crate.
Samwise has a beautiful fawn smooth coat with lovely black points and sabling, and white markings on his throat, chest, and back paws. He will probably develop a handsome black mask, as well. We expect this striking and healthy boy will weigh about 9 pounds when fully grown.
Samwise is one of six small Chihuahua puppies that were separated from their mothers at only four weeks of age when a backyard breeding situation went awry. We learned of the puppies' plight and stepped in to rescue them. They are flourishing in a loving foster home and are now ready to go to their forever homes.
The puppies were born on October 24 and 25, 2010. The father of the puppies weighed 6 pounds, and the two mothers weighed 6 and 8 pounds. The puppies from these litters are expected to weigh between 6 pounds to 10 pounds when fully grown. Due to their small size, we prefer adoptive homes with no children under 8 years of age.
Sammy's adoption fee of $285 includes his puppy shots up-to-date, worming, and microchip. Neutering is mandatory by age 7 months, and the cost of this is included in the $285 adoption fee, as is a rabies shot, which is generally given at the same time.
Would you like to come and play with these adorable babies and choose one to take home? They are fostered in Walla Walla, Washington. Contact us at mikeyschance@gmail.com for more information and an adoption application.
