Kira's Story...
Meet Kira! She is about 2 years old and is a Rottweiler mix, though at first glance appears to be mostly purebred. Kira is a sweet girl and loves people. She’s very large – about 85 lbs – so might be a bit much for families with small children, who might accidentally get bumped or knocked over. She is spayed and up-to-date on all her shots. This sweet girl really just prefers to be an only dog – so a home with no other dogs or cats would be great for Miss Kira. She is housetrained, crate-trained and very obedient. She would make a wonderful companion.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Kira, a Huntsville Rottweiler dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Rottweiler for sale in Huntsville, or seeking a Rottweiler dog from a breeder in Huntsville.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Huntsville already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Huntsville breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Rottweiler breeders who help with Rottweiler rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Huntsville paves the way for another one to be saved.
