Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Silkie is a sweet but mischievous darling that is craving someone to bond with. She is a very affectionate, people-orientated cat and likes to be held. She will climb into your arms or on your shoulder, and warms up to new people quickly. Silkie thinks dogs are just fine too, although she'll put them in their place if she feels they're taking liberties. She's a young playful cat that will chase toys or a string, and loves to romp with her own kittens. Silkie is beautiful, with emerald green eyes and silky, glossy gray fur. With her white belly, paws and chest, it looks like she is wearing elegant gray silk pajamas – therefore her name! Just to avoid looking too serious, she has cute splotchy markings on her white nose. Silkie is accustomed to being around other adult cats, but tends to be assertive with them. Silkie is a bit of a food gobbler and has put on alot of weight since she first came to Abbey Cats with nothing but a flap of skin for a belly. Her food will need to be portioned out. She wants to be someone’s constant companion, and keeps her foster mom company while she gets ready in the morning – sometimes climbing on mom’s shoulder for a cuddle between tooth brushing and hair drying! If you (and your cat-friendly dog) would like a playful, affectionate companion, please call Abbey Cat Adoptions at
