Petey's Story...
Petey is a feisty 1 1/2 year old min pin/chihuahua mix weighing about 12 lbs who was pulled from a shelter in southern Indiana. He's got personality plus! and is extremely smart. He lives in a foster home with 6 other dogs and is great with them all; he's very vocal and lets you know when he wants something (like a toy one of his doggy buddies has!). If he were human, he'd be either a 'pro wrestler' (he loves to roll around and tussel!) or 'super hero' (he loves to jump and could probably 'leap tall buildings in a single bound'!). He likes his 'doggy door' and goes outside to 'take care of business'. He's very smart and curious and will chew shoes if he doesn't have a bone or greenie to keep him occupied. Contact us if you'd like to make little Petey part of your family! His adoption fee is $200; he's been neutered, microchipped, heartworm and fecal tested, and is current on vaccinations.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Petey, a Indianapolis Miniature Pinscher/Chihuahua dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Miniature Pinscher/Chihuahua for sale in Indianapolis, or seeking a Miniature Pinscher/Chihuahua dog from a breeder in Indianapolis.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Indianapolis already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Indianapolis breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Miniature Pinscher/Chihuahua breeders who help with Miniature Pinscher/Chihuahua rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Indianapolis paves the way for another one to be saved.
