Maci's Story...
Hi there! My name is Maci. I was rescued from the Pinal County Animal Shelter on 4/30/12 and am SO happy to be out of that scary place and into my new foster moms house! I'm a 1 year old shepherd mix and I am spayed, micro-chipped and up to date on all my vaccinations. I love other dogs and kids and would make a great running partner and family dog. I haven't met any cats, but my high energy might not be the best fit for a family with kitties. I'm a very sweet girl who loves to play, snuggle and go for walks. I'm working on learning my basic commands and am almost potty trained. I'm eager to please and pick up on new tasks fast, so it won't take long! Please consider me as your next family member!

This pup is a courtesy post with Valley Dogs Rescue. Please contact the foster family at: Brittany.Winkelman@gmail.com or 503-539-2866 if you are interested in meeting this sweet dog.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Maci, a Gilbert German Shepherd Dog puppy was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a German Shepherd Dog for sale in Gilbert, or seeking a German Shepherd Dog puppy from a breeder in Gilbert.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Gilbert already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Gilbert breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even German Shepherd Dog breeders who help with German Shepherd Dog rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Gilbert paves the way for another one to be saved.
