Storm's Story...
Storm is an adorable eight-week-old, male grey and white, one-eyed kitten looking for feline-loving guardian. Storm is a happy, playful, fun and loving kitten who has no idea he’s different from any other kitten. He loves playing with toys, carrying balls in his mouth and playing with other kittens, cats and dogs. This tiny guy is very handle-able and well-socialized. He is living with multiple cats and is learning to get along with everyone … people of all ages, cats and dogs. Storm has excellent litter box habits, is healthy, neutered, de-wormed, micro-chipped, up-to-date on age appropriate vaccines, and virus-tested. To meet and possibly adopt Storm, please contact his foster mom Allison at allisonltarr@yahoo.com or 847-922-1796. His adoption fee of $75 benefits the Friends of Chicago Animal Care and Control.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Storm, a Chicago Domestic Shorthair kitten was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Shorthair for sale in Chicago, or seeking a Domestic Shorthair kitten from a breeder in Chicago.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Chicago already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Chicago breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Chicago paves the way for another one to be saved.
