Sugar's Story...
http://www.valleydogs.org/cp_sugar-staffie.html -- Sugar is young female pitbull mix. She was found in central Phoenix chained to a tree. She was taken in, spayed, given all her shots and has been with a rescue for 9 months. She is super sweet and active, and loves to be with her people.

Sugar has not had very much training yet, but has been quickly learning to follow commands and walk on a leash in her foster home. She is very smart, attentive, and eager to please. Sugar cannot live with cats or small dogs, but would love to have a large dog to play with.

For someone willing to provide her a little patience and plenty of exercise, Sugar will be a perfect, loyal, loving companion. Sugar is already housebroken and goes into her crate at bedtime, where she sleeps through the night.

This pup is a courtesy post with Valley Dogs Rescue. Please contact danielledewitt@hotmail.com if you are interested in meeting this sweet dog.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Sugar, a Gilbert American Staffordshire Terrier/Pit Bull Terrier dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a American Staffordshire Terrier/Pit Bull Terrier for sale in Gilbert, or seeking a American Staffordshire Terrier/Pit Bull Terrier dog from a breeder in Gilbert.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Gilbert already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Gilbert breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even American Staffordshire Terrier/Pit Bull Terrier breeders who help with American Staffordshire Terrier/Pit Bull Terrier rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Gilbert paves the way for another one to be saved.
