Haven's Story...
We couldn't resist this sweet & delicate little face! Haven is a perky 1 year old italian greyhound / chihuahua mix who weighs approximately 18 lbs. She's very demonstrative & affectionate; she gives the best hugs and kisses ever! She's bright and frisky and can be quite the mischievous imp if given the chance. She gets along with most dogs but doesn't care for extremely dominant females. Haven is a bit shy and tentative with people initially but, given a few minutes to get familiar with you, she becomes responsive and appreciative of attention. She's extremely devoted to her 'special people' and is the perfect combination of fun/playfulness while still enjoying cuddling and attention. Her adoption fee is $150; she's spayed, microchipped and current on vaccinations.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Haven, a Indianapolis Italian Greyhound/Chihuahua dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Italian Greyhound/Chihuahua for sale in Indianapolis, or seeking a Italian Greyhound/Chihuahua dog from a breeder in Indianapolis.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Indianapolis already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Indianapolis breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Italian Greyhound/Chihuahua breeders who help with Italian Greyhound/Chihuahua rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Indianapolis paves the way for another one to be saved.
