Kricket's Story...
This beautiful young lady is Kricket, a one year old lab/shepherd mix that came to us from our Newark facility in search of a great new home. Kricket was found as a stray and we just can't imagine how this sweet girl became lost. This little lady is so young and innocent....what a shame that someone let her go. Kricket was extremely thin upon arrival, so she may have sufffered some neglect in her young life. She is loving the attention that she is getting now and the good care that she is receiving, and just adores everyone she meets. When you go to take Kricket for a walk, she greets you with an enormous smile and a full body wag! Kricket is very outgoing and loves meeting new people. She enjoys going for walks and spending time in our exercise yard, especially when she gets to dive into our toy box and pull out some of her favorites. Kricket is well behaved and walks nicely on a leash, and she also gets along well with other dogs. Kricket would make a wonderful addition to any loving family if you just give her the chance she's hoping for! 12/5/12 File#22109

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Kricket, a Forked River Shepherd (Unknown Type) dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Shepherd (Unknown Type) for sale in Forked River, or seeking a Shepherd (Unknown Type) dog from a breeder in Forked River.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Forked River already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Forked River breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Shepherd (Unknown Type) breeders who help with Shepherd (Unknown Type) rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Forked River paves the way for another one to be saved.
