Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Meg is a playful, high-energy, fun and extremely loving, one-year-old, 22-pound, female, Sheltie/Pomeranian-mix looking for a loving guardian. Meg loves to play with other dogs. She has not yet been cat-tested. She is living in a foster home with another dog and she has proven to be housebroken, non-destructive and well-behaved in the home. She can be barky when excited, so probably no condos or apartments for Meg. She loves to go on walks and is full of tail wags and kisses for those she loves. She snuggles in bed with her foster mom each night. Meg already knows the commands sit and down and takes treats gently from your fingers. Because she’s young and energetic, she needs daily exercise to be happy. She’s also good at doggie day where she plays with dogs of all shapes and sizes. Meg’s only flaw is that she will growl and guard her rawhide bones. So, she needs some training and a home with adults and teenagers old enough to work with her behavior. She is food-motivated and highly trainable. Meg was rescued from a high-kill shelter in West Virginia where she would have lost her life due to canine over-population. Meg is very healthy, de-wormed, spayed, up-to-date on vaccines, micro-chipped, de-wormed, and heartworm-tested. If you are interested in meeting and possibly adopting Meg, please contact her foster mom Amy at amysusanbrennan@aol.com or 773-727-9340. Her adoption fee of $200 benefits the rescued pets of Famous Fido’s. She is being fostered in Chicago.
