Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Gabriel is a sweet, happy, friendly, goofy, snuggly and playful nine-month-old, 35-pound, male, fawn and white muscular hound/terrier-mix with warm amber eyes looking for a loving guardian. Gabriel thrills to play with balls, toys and other dogs. He can easily live as an only dog, or with a calm female companion. He is so very sweet, just easily excitable. He has been living in a foster home where he has been getting some training in manners … sitting for treats, taking treats gently, crate-training, housebreaking. He still grabs socks, or balls to eat when you’re not looking … so he’s best in a home that’s free of items he may ingest. Gabriel didn’t have the best start in life. He was horribly emaciated when he was found disposed of in a trash dumpster when he was just three months old. He has some residual fears from his past abuse/neglect. Loud noises scare him. And, he’s afraid you’re going to take away his food, so he will growl if you approach him while eating. His foster mom has learned that T-Touch massage has helped him calm himself down, and you can see him visibly relax when she touches him. She’s happy to demonstrate so you can continue this at home! Gabriel is extremely healthy, neutered, de-wormed, up-to-date on vaccines and micro-chipped. To meet and possibly adopt this puppy, please contact his foster mom Nicole at nefreed@gmail.com or 630-915-1326. His adoption fee of $75 benefits rescued pets. He is being fostered in Chicago.
