My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Hello, my name is Lacey! If you are looking for the perfect lap cat, then I am your girl. I love nothing more than to sit on your lap and be petted. At night, if you let me, I will sleep peacefully in your leg nook. I'm a super sweet, gentle cat with a heart of gold who just needs a little love. I'm a big girl with a soft-natured, quiet personality. When I am not sitting on your lap, I will be sitting in a bag or box. My brother Conrad and I were adopted from the rescue together in 2009. We were just 11 weeks old and we had a great life. Then our human parents got divorced and dumped us both back in the Rescue. Conrad has since been adopted again, but I'm still looking for someone to love. Fortunately, I am now living with my best friend Helen, a cat who is also available for adoption, so if you are looking for a duo, we are your girls. What can I say? Opposites attract!

I am 100% litterbox trained and very well behaved. I have a calm, mellow personality and I get along well with all people and other spayed female cats. I have a soft purr and a kind heart. I am a spayed female with short-length black and white fur. I'm really soft and very clean. I like to be petted and scratched, loved and cuddled. I just hope to find someone to love for life. Give me a chance and you'll be so very glad that you did! Adoption fee: $60. Adopt a pair: $90. Fee includes testing, deworming, vaccinations, microchip, spay/neuter and 30 days of free pet insurance.

    Adoption and Foster Care Application

    Adoption Process:
Complete the application at www.pawsforliferescue.org. We then arrange a location, date and time for you to meet some pets. If the meeting goes well and everyone is happy, you begin the mandatory, minimum two-week adjustment period with the pet as part of your family. You will pay the non-refundable adoption fee at the start of the two-week adjustment period. This pending period allows your new dog or cat time to adjust to their new home, new people, new routine, etc., and for you to decide if it's a match and the right pet for you. At the end of two weeks (some people extend the adjustment time as needed and that's fine too), if everyone is happy, then we finalize the adoption. Feel free to email if you have any questions.
