Loki's Story...
My name is Loki and I'm a 18 month old German Shepherd. I was abandoned in central Phoenix near the courthouse. The nice city workers made sure I was fed and watered and gained my trust. Well a nice lady stepped up and now I have a temporary home! Look how happy I am!

He does great with the other dogs and friendly with people. I've noticed he doesn't like to be alone. When I send him outside or in the crate my dog has to go first then he will follow. He spills the water bowl any chance he can (got a pool to play in??).

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Loki, a Gilbert German Shepherd Dog dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a German Shepherd Dog for sale in Gilbert, or seeking a German Shepherd Dog dog from a breeder in Gilbert.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Gilbert already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Gilbert breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even German Shepherd Dog breeders who help with German Shepherd Dog rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Gilbert paves the way for another one to be saved.
