Rudy's Story...
Rudy is a gorgeous, snugly, gentle, affectionate and playful, one-year-old, 55-pound, male, red and white Pit Bull Terrier/Dogue de Bordeaux-mix looking for a loving guardian. Rudy is basically a cuddly, loving coach potato of a dog. He loves his walks and will play with his rope toy or Kong for a few minutes … but, his favorite place in the world is cuddling with you. He’s a surprisingly low-energy fellow who enjoys his nap-time. Rudy was found stray in Evanston, Illinois. He is perfectly housebroken, crate-trained, knows the command “sit” and takes treats nicely from your fingers. He absolutely loves people of all ages. Rudy probably grew up as the only pet in the home, so he can easily go on walks with other dogs, but would probably be best as the one and only pet in the home. Rudy is very healthy, de-wormed, neutered, and up-to-date on vaccinations, micro-chipped, and tested heartworm negative. To meet and possibly adopt Rudy, please fill in the online application at http://www.secondhandsnoots.org and follow up on your application by e-mailing adoption@secondhandsnoots.org or phoning 847-791-3647. His adoption fee of $250 benefits the rescued dogs of Secondhand Snoots. He is being fostered in Evanston, Illinois.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Rudy, a Chicago American Pit Bull Terrier/Dogue de Bordeaux dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a American Pit Bull Terrier/Dogue de Bordeaux for sale in Chicago, or seeking a American Pit Bull Terrier/Dogue de Bordeaux dog from a breeder in Chicago.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Chicago already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Chicago breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even American Pit Bull Terrier/Dogue de Bordeaux breeders who help with American Pit Bull Terrier/Dogue de Bordeaux rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Chicago paves the way for another one to be saved.
