Here's what the humans have to say about me:
March 2008 ~ Still waiting for a permanent home, this cute, gentle fellow gets along with everyone and we haven't found a dog he dislikes!~~~~Probably what's keeping him from finding a new home - he's deaf. We suspect he has hearing to certain pitches - he seems to howl at high pitched puppy barks! Maury was found in an outside pen of a dog pound or kill shelter. Someone had placed him there the night before. When the warden came into work that morning, there was Maury, soaked from the nights rain. Our rescue took him in, finding him smelly and full of fleas. It took a couple of bathes to get the mats and flea dirt off. Maury is a 6 - 7 year old male Cocker Spaniel weighing 28 pounds. All Chocolate in color except for a big patch of white on his chest running up his neck to his mouth. Beautiful coat. Pictures are after his grooming. Nice friendly guy with a great disposition. Loves attention and follows caregiver around. Nice companion - would be great for companion to another dog or an "only dog home." Maury is flexible! Can be crated but not necessary. Walks fairly well on leash. 9/17 -- Presently on medication for bilateral ear infections Ear infections clearing up nicely.
Neutered, vaccines, dental cleaning, heart worm check, de-worming, & grooming. All for $150 adoption fee........ Maury is ready for a new home, someone to bond and share affection with.
