What a cute mix a Border Terrier and a Beagle make....and Shelby's personality make it all the cuter! Shelby was fortunate to pick up the non-shedding (or barely noticeable) coat of the Border Terrier. She also doesn't bay as a Beagle might...we haven't found her to be particularly vocal under any circumstances. We have found her to be a love! At 8 - 10 months old and 12 lbs (we expect her to be about 15 lbs when full grown) she is both an energetic playmate and a mellow and sweet lap dog. She does great with both kids and dogs and can be trusted to have positive behavior toward both. Since Shelby is in the early learning phase of her life, training classes would be encouraged to promote bonding with her family and to allow her to be the best dog she can possibly be. We would love to see Shelby in a family where she would be included in the activities. She's very agreeable and cooperative...satisfying her need for exercise will make her all the more so. A day of hiking, snowshoeing or just playing in the back yard will bring out the best in this inquisitive pup. She's learning all the time and seems to be very excited to do so. She also would enjoy social time...maybe shopping or being at the park with other dogs....or just being with her favorite people is important in her taking her place as a part of the family.

Shelby will be arriving on transport in Denver in mid-late May. Applications are currently being accepted for this adorable puppy.
