Winston's Info...

I am already neutered, housetrained, purebred, up to date with shots, good with kids, good with dogs, and good with cats.

Winston's Story...
Winston is a 10 year male. He is very sweet, mellow, affectionate and loves attention. He appears to be a bit hard of hearing, but responds well to hand signals. He knows sit, down and walks well on a leash. He likes to ride in the car, but sometimes needs help getting in. He's good with cats and loves other dogs. He is house trained and knows how to use the doggy door. Winston does a little resource guarding and we are working on correcting this behavior. It is helpful to feel him in a separate area from other animals. Other than enjoying chewing papers if he can find them, he has no bad habits. Winston will be a great addition to any family.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Winston, a Tempe Border Collie dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Border Collie for sale in Tempe, or seeking a Border Collie dog from a breeder in Tempe.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Tempe already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Tempe breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Border Collie breeders who help with Border Collie rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Tempe paves the way for another one to be saved.
