My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

He's got turbo! This is a high-energy pup who must have space to run daily. He is small enough to adapt to apartment living, provided there is room for him to fly around playing keepaway or wrestling, and given a daily walk and plenty of play. But he loves to be outdoors, and will do best in a home with a secure yard and an energetic canine playmate.
His crate is his happy place. He is used to being crated at night and sometimes during the day if his foster mom is out. He will fuss and may urinate in defiance, if crated while you're home and awake and he thinks he's been ignored for too long. But often during the day he will choose to go into his open crate with a chew toy, for some quiet time.Does best with adults. In Audi's original home he lived with children and we were told he was fine with them. In our experience he is afraid of children, and likely to get nippy. We are looking for an adults-only home for him, where any visiting children are closely supervised. It's worth mentioning that he responded very well to a young teen girl who worked at a kennel where he boarded for a few days. He thought she was something special!Willing to be friends ... on his terms. Outstretched, grabby hands scare this little guy. If he doesn't know you and you go to pick him up, or even reach to pet him without an invitation, you're asking for a sharp nip. On the other hand if you relax and ignore him while he makes up his own mind about you, it won't be long before he comes up and asks for some loving.

Like all Mikey's Chance dogs, this dog will come to you fully vetted. An adoption fee of $185 will help offset the cost of care.If you are looking for the perfect companion, please go to www.mikeyschance.com for detailed information on all of our adoptable canine friends, as well as applications to adopt or foster. We look forward to working with you!
