My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Approximate age / weight: Almost 8 yrs old/30lbs but needs to lost some weight

Good With Kids: unknown but this little sweetie is laid back so we are guessing she would be good with older children

Good With Other Dogs: Yes, I will be bossy with timid dogs and I will be timid with bossy dogs

Good With Cats: Ok, I am a little unsure so I just stay away. My feline foster brother tried to rub up against me and I didn't do anything but I got a little scared

Housetrained: Working on it

Crate Trained: I'm not too crazy about being in a crate

Walks Nicely On A Leash: Yes, but I like to wear a harness

Knows Basic Commands: Yes - sit, watch, down

Energy Level (Couch Potato, Moderate or High): Couch potato but I do like to eat - I like to eat but I am on a diet :( Boo hoo for me

Special Needs:

I am on a diet because I am 10lbs overweight. I may have a little arthritis in my front leg, momma has me on Glucosamine pills to help my joints feel better. I do that reverse sneeze thingy sometimes. I should wear a harness for walking because the collar tightening can bring on my sneezies.

Arrival story: Annie O was a stray who found herself at a local animal shelter. Her foster mom fell in love with her and sprung her from the shelter so she could have the second chance at life that she deserves. Hooray!!

Personality: I am a funny kid with tons of personality. I like to be petted and would like to be near my person 24/7. I can be left alone in the house and I don't chew on anything. I just lay on my bed with my blankies and stuffies and my canine foster brother. I love food and my treats. I'm a rootin' tootin' fun gal. I am like my namesake, Annie Oakley: I am one of the 12 most interesting girls in town!!

Forever home: I would love a home with a doggie buddy and somebody who can be home with me during the day or have a babysitter to let me out. I need a secure fenced in yard because I follow my nose!! I must be leash walked, no off leash roaming for me! I need lots of love and attention. I am a sensitive girl so kind words and no quick movements...I get scared sometimes.

Waggin' Tails Adoption Information: Waggin' Tails Dog Rescue has a standard adoption fee of $225 for adult dogs. Different adoption fees apply for older dogs, small breeds and puppies - $125 for senior dogs (9 years +) , $275 for small breed dogs and $250 for puppies, plus a $50 deposit which is returned upon proof of spay/neuter. Our adoption process includes an application, vet reference checks, and a home visit.

Waggin' Tails Dog Rescue does not have a shelter facility. All of our dogs are fostered in private homes. To meet a dog in person, please see our event calendar on our website at www.waggintailsdogrescue.org for the latest information. Arrangements can be made to meet our rescue dogs outside of Saturday adoption events after an approved application is submitted. This application does not imply an obligation to adopt by the applicant or by the rescue group.

Our volunteers have made rescue a second job that they do in their spare time after coming home from full-time jobs. E-mail inquiries are the quickest way to obtain information about a dog.

Thank you for your support of rescue and your interest in a rescue dog!
