My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

ADOPTION PENDING! Farrah is an energetic, happy 2 year old female red tick hound mix looking for someone to take her home and play! She is a super happy girl that eats up any attention she is given. She loves to play with her two foster doggy brothers and is very respectful of her foster kitty (if he looks at her cross-eyed, she leaves the room). She is fearless in her play and has no problems taking on a male red tick hound that is 20lbs larger! Yet she is gentle when she plays with a 15lb Jack Russell terrier. It took her a week or two to learn how to share toys with her foster brothers, but now she even initiates some tug-of-war games. She is kennel trained and seems to be housebroken. We are working on her leash manners – right now she just wants to go, go, go all the time (luckily she is only 45lbs). She enjoys going out for jogs and has done up to 5.5 miles, but she's ready to train up to any distance. She is a hound and as such has a powerful nose on her (no hiding treats in your pocket), but luckily she doesn’t realize that hounds tend to bark a lot - not sure we have heard her bark yet!

If you are looking for a loving companion to go do things with or a playmate for your dog, Farrah is the girl for you.
