Chevy's Story...
This adorable little lady is Chevy, a charming Chihuahua that is about 10 years young. Chevy came to us from our Newark facility in search of a great new home. Chevy was given up when her owner could no longer care for her. This little lady had some medical issues that were left untreated for a while like hernias and a mammary mass. Our veterinary team took great care of little Chevy and she is doing just fantastic now! She is happy, healthy, and ready to start over. Little Chevy is a sweet, mellow, and quiet little lady. She is very content to go for leisurely strolls or just curl up in a cozy lap. Chevy is perfectly behaved and very affectionate and lovable. She gets along with calm, easy going dogs and would do best in a home with older, mature children. Little Chevy is really looking forward to getting a great home with a family that will love her forever. File#22408 5/3/13

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Chevy, a Forked River Chihuahua dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Chihuahua for sale in Forked River, or seeking a Chihuahua dog from a breeder in Forked River.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Forked River already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Forked River breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Chihuahua breeders who help with Chihuahua rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Forked River paves the way for another one to be saved.
