Hello, Big Jack, describes me in a few ways, You see when I came into rescue I was supposed to be this LITTLE BITTY chihuahua in need of vet care, but when animal care and control got me (after the people put me on Craigslist looking for help), it was discovered that I weighed over 35#.
I had many large growths on me and I was very overweight. You see I was abandoned by my person who didn't care for me properly, Well I got rescued from there even though I'm way bigger than most of the dogs at Chihuahua Rescue. I'm pretty sure its because I'm so handsome, with my big brown eyes and these cute little tricks I do begging for food, which is probably how I got so BIG.
I'm well behaved, completely house trained and I love to go outdoors and walk to the mailbox, down the street or whatever!
You need to help me continue to slim down, I'm on a doggy version of The Biggest Loser and doing well. I weighed 36 lbs when I came to Chihuahua Rescue. I weigh 26# now. I love my foster mom and like many JRTs I can be protective. (I bark at new people).Another challenge for me is that I have some spots of missing fur and tender skin on my beautiful soft coat, These can be kept under control, but I need to have medicine applied and attention to diet(of course) and regular grooming.
I really need a place to call my own, with someone who will take me on long gentle walks and love me enough to feed me only what's good for me. Will you be that someone? I will be your BEST BUDDY!
