Spice's Story...
Spice is one sweet orange and white Tabby kitten. At 9 weeks of age, he is so loving and very oriented towards his humans. Friendly and outgoing, Spice will call out to you for affection and then will purr, purr, purr when being held or pet. For playtime activities, Spice is a high flying acrobatic kitten who loves a good wand toy and will jump or chase anything that moves. In his foster home, Spice is getting lots to people interaction and has also been around adult cats. This little guy can happily live in almost any home environment as long as he gets showered with attention and affection.

Spice is being fostered in Sausalito and his foster mom works from home, so you can meet him pretty much any time. Call Spice's foster mom, Sam Bradshaw, at 415 819 4828. Adoptions are through Jake's Place Cat Rescue, http:www.jakesplacecatrescue.org

All Jake’s Place cats available for adoption are spayed or neutered, current on vaccinations, tested for FIV/FeLV and are microchipped. The adoption fee is $110 for Spice.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Spice, a Novato Domestic Shorthair kitten was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Shorthair for sale in Novato, or seeking a Domestic Shorthair kitten from a breeder in Novato.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Novato already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Novato breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Novato paves the way for another one to be saved.
