Thelma's Story...
Thelma (blue) is an 8 week old cattle dog/blue heeler. She loves running around outside and playing in the yard. Thelma loves being around people and will follow you around until you give her love and pats on her head. She gets along great with her sister and the 2 male dogs in the house, constantly wanting to play. She is learning manners and is being house and crate trained. This pup is extremely smart and has a ton of energy and will need a family that can give her plenty of exercise and activity. Cattle dogs are very active so an active home is preferred. She is looking for a home in Central Ohio. The adoption fee is $175 and includes the cost of her spay, microchip, vaccinations to date and deworming.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Thelma, a Columbus Australian Cattle Dog puppy was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Australian Cattle Dog for sale in Columbus, or seeking a Australian Cattle Dog puppy from a breeder in Columbus.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Columbus already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Columbus breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Australian Cattle Dog breeders who help with Australian Cattle Dog rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Columbus paves the way for another one to be saved.
