Rescue FAQs

St. Louis, Missouri and its surrounding area shelters and agencies are largely populated by Pit Bulls and Pit Bull Mixes. To help alleviate the stress on the animal care system and the dogs themselves, Even Chance is committed to getting adoptable dogs out of the shelters and into safe, loving homes.
Even Chance is a small foster home rescue organization that specializes in Pit Bulls. We strive to counteract misinformation about pit bulls with factual education, communication, and resources for the general public as well as the pit bull community. We rescue temperamentally sound dogs from shelters, including dogs with medical needs and dogs rescued from organized fighting rings or other inhumane situations. We provide foster care for our rescued dogs until they are placed in forever homes. There are plenty of opportunities to help us with our effort, ranging from fostering a potential adoptee, volunteering or providing a donation.
