Areas BCS Spay Serves

We are a spay/neuter voucher program serving stray cats and pets with low income owners in Brazos County, Texas. We rescue and rehome a limited number of cats and kittens when they cannot safely remain where found.

BCS Spay's Adoption Process

1. Meet the Pet

Adoption events 2-5pm most Saturdays at the College Station Petsmart on University (back by the cat litter). Or email BCSSpayDay@gmail.com

2. Submit Application

Tell us about your living situation (cats, dogs, kids?) & what you are looking for in a cat or kitten so we can help you find the best match

3. Sign Adoption Contract

Must agree to keep the cat indoors and return the cat to us (not a shelter) if unable to keep it an any point int the future.

4. Pay Fee

Our usual adoption fees are $80 for kittens under 6 months, $60 for kittens 6 months to a year old, and $40 for adult cats. Spayed/neutered.

5. Take the Pet Home

In most cases, you will be able to take your new cat or kitten home the same day! We usually include free nail clippers and Cat Dancer toy.

Email us at BCSSpayDay@gmail.com for an adoption application. You must have permission from your landlord if renting. Any other pets must be spayed/neutered and up to date on their shots. You must plan to keep the cat indoors. Once your application is approved (usually within a day or two), we will arrange for you to meet with a cat or kitten that fits what you are looking for. Or come meet some of our cats Saturdays 2-5pm at the College Station Petsmart on University (back by the cat litter). The adoption contract requires you to return the cat to us if you are ever unable to keep him/her for any reason. Adoption fees range from $40-80. Cats and kittens have been spayed/neutered, microchipped for identification, and are up to date on their shots (FVRCP and rabies).

About BCS Spay

We target companion animals least likely to be spayed/neutered - those with low-income owners and stray cats - and help them get fixed so they do not contribute to pet overpopulation. Sometimes some of the cats we help cannot safely be returned to where they were found - for example they are sick or injured or multiple cats have been run over in the area. We rescue these cats, get them well, and find them safe, indoor homes. We rely on private donations and adoption fees to fund our program. We almost always spend more on vet care than the adoption fees we charge.

Come Meet BCS Spay's Pets

Watch our Facebook page https://www.facebook.com/BCSSpayNeuter for announcements of adoption events. We are at the College Station Petsmart on University (back by the cat litter) 2-5pm most Saturdays. Or email us to for an adoption application to set up a meeting at another time. Our cats live in foster homes during the week so we know about their purrsonalities to help you make the best match.
