Rescue FAQs

Carmen’s Rescue is an approved 501(c)3 non-profit organization, located in Greenville / Simpsonville South Carolina. We are dedicated to the rescue of abandoned, abused and injured dogs. The prevention of cruelty to animals is our priority. We work with committed volunteers, foster homes and local veterinarians. Once our rescue dogs are fully vetted, our goal is to place them in a loving, temporary foster home until we find them a well-matched, carefully screened, forever home.

Additional adoption info

All applicants must be at least 25 years of age.

We prefer adopters own their residence, but exceptions can be made. If you rent, we need poof of your landlord to confirm a dog is allowed.

Any current animals must be up-to-date on vaccinations, heartworm tested annually and on heartworm preventative.

All current animals have to be spayed / neutered.

All adults in the home must be in agreement about adding a new dog to the household.

All Applications must be submitted online with our Adoption Application.

We will conduct a personal reference check and vet reference check when applicable. Please call your vet office and ask them to note in your file that they can release information to us.

Once your reference check is complete, we will schedule a home visit. We are not looking to inspect your home, we are looking to make sure it is a safe environment for the dog.

If both parties decide to move forward with the adoption you will be required to sign a contract.
