What is an advantage to mutts?

One of the advantages of mutts is their genetic variability. Adopting a mixed-breed dog means that some of the more intense traits of the breeds from which they descend can be, well, less intense. A mutt might look like a Border Collie but be less energetic and focused. Or maybe they share physical traits similar to those of a Yorkshire Terrier, but aren’t as vocal. There is no way to really know what a mutt’s temperament will be like until you spend time with the dog.
