My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Trudy is an 8 year old, 10 pound Yorkshire Terrier. This little girl loves being petted and held. Trudy would be happiest going everywhere with her people and is very content to toddle after you around the house. At night she sleeps in her bed. If Trudy has to go potty during the night she will use a potty pad. Because Trudy is a tiny girl her forever home should have no children under 10 and no large dogs. Trudy is really all about her human, she is good with other dogs but doesn’t really want to play yet. She gets excited when other dogs bark because she knows something good is about to happen, it’s treat time!

Trudy came into rescue after being retired from a breeder. She has been well cared for and has always had human interaction during her time of breeding puppies. Trudy was a little potato when she came to us at almost 13 pounds. With a good diet and some exercise she has lost weight and has a waist line again. We did check her thyroid levels and she is in the normal range, she was just being fed way too much. Trudy is doing well at housetraining goes outside to potty or will use a potty pad but still has accidents. Trudy would like a home where her people are around often and not gone an 8 hour work day. Trudy’s eyes don’t produce enough tears so she has dry eyes. She requires drops in her eyes three times a day for moisture.

Trudy is spayed, up to date on vaccinations, heartworm tested, and microchipped. She had a dental in June of 2018.
