Here's what the humans have to say about me:
MEET ODA MAE!
Is this a dog or a sloth? The world may never know! This 11 year old Chinese Crested is named Oda Mae. She came to City of Elderly Love when her owner became ill and could no longer care for her. She's now adjusted to her new life in foster care and is ready to spread her wings and find an adoptive home!
Oda Mae is very affectionate with humans and has no problem demanding pets! She loves walks, having her chest rubbed and being warm and cozy. She doesn’t mind wearing clothes but also loves to be nude! Oda Mae originally lived with a dozen or so dogs but now that she's been separated from the hectic household, she's made it apparent that she enjoys her quiet time and would likely he happiest in a home without other dogs or with other dogs who are calm and don’t mind her being a bit sassy. She'd be happiest in a home without children. This 10lb cutie is great with cats, is house broken and non destructive when left alone! Though she may be a senior by age, she has plenty of pep left in her step!
Oda Mae received a veterinary workup upon coming to the rescue and was found to have a grade 3 heart murmur that may need to be monitored as she ages and may be a consideration if she needs anesthesia, but requires no additional care at this time. She did recently go under anesthesia in order to have her teeth cleaned and had no issues. She is otherwise a healthy girl! Because she is a hairless Chinese Crested she cannot be exposed to cold or sun for long periods of time.
Oda Mae is available for adoption through City of Elderly Love. She is spayed, vaccinated and microchipped. Interested in adopting her? Visit www.cityofelderlylove.org to complete an online adoption questionnaire at info@cityofelderlylove.org!
**Please note: City of Elderly Love only has the ability to adopt out within the tri-state area.**
