Here's what the humans have to say about me:
MEET NELLY!
Looking for an easy-going, super special companion? Look no further, meet our girl Nelly! Nelly is a ~15 year old gray and cream Poodle who was surrendered to Philly's animal control shelter when her former owner had to move into an assisted living facility and couldn't bring Nelly along. Luckily, she didn't have to spend much time in the shelter before being whisked away to safety with City of Elderly Love!
Nelly has really flourished in foster care. She has transformed from a mess of curly tangles and mats to a beautiful diamond in the ruff! She is currently living with other small and large dogs and cats. Even though she is mostly blind due to age-related cataracts, she gets along with her housemates wonderfully. She navigates her surroundings well and is completely housebroken. Nelly's favorite thing to do is cuddle up with her humans. Well, besides taking breaks from naps for some jerky treats! Though Nelly may be considered "special needs" due to being mostly blind, she's very go-with-the-flow and will be an easy addition to most families!
Nelly has received a full veterinary workup since coming to City of Elderly Love. She has also been spayed and received a dental cleaning with extractions while under sedation to keep her pearly whites pearly white. She also had a few mammary masses removed. This healthy girl is ready to land her forever home!
Nelly is available for adoption through City of Elderly Love. She is spayed, vaccinated and microchipped. She is also heart worm and lymes disease negative. Interested in adopting her?
