My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.

Meet Congo!  He is the sweetest dog you will ever meet!  He absolutely loves every dog and human he comes in contact with.  He is estimated to have been born around September 2015.

Congo loves other dogs so much.  His ideal forever home will have a doggie friend to wrestle with and a human that will give him plenty of cuddles, pets, and treats.  Even better if he can lay in your lap while you read or watch television.

Congo is well-behaved and never gets into trouble.  He is house trained, crate trained, great in the car, and will respect your stuff.  Congo is crated when his foster mom goes to work, but for the rest of the time, he is free to roam the house with no problems.

Congo loves food and has never shown any signs of food aggression.  He is just happy to eat and get treats.  Weighing in at 70 pounds, he could stand to gain some weight.

Poor Congo was an outside dog his whole life, and now he appreciates the finer things, like air-conditioning and soft beds.

He was absolutely terrified at the shelter and had completely shut down.  All it took was the love and companionship of his foster dog brother to bring him out of his shell.  Now he is enjoying life and has no fears.   Except now, he sees no reason to spend so much time outside!  He does his business, then runs back inside.

He is perfectly content in the house, right by your side. Congo will make a wonderful companion and addition to your home.  Just give him a chance and you will absolutely fall in love.

SPIN Pyrs are all in foster homes in the Dallas/Fort Worth area. Potential adopters are asked to make travel arrangements if they live elsewhere. All SPIN dogs are spayed or neutered, current on vaccinations and on heartworm prevention. Please go to our website www.SpinRescue.org and fill out an application for this great Great Pyrenees!
