My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.

Meet Auggie!  He also answers to August, Augs, and Auggie Froggie!  This sweet, calm boy was born around February 2017, and is fully grown at 100 pounds of fluffy gorgeousness.

Auggie loves being around people, getting hugs, and he adores kids, including trying to lick their faces.  He is very gentle when taking treats.  He wants to get as close to you as possible!  He will crawl into your lap, gaze at you adoringly, and nestle his head on your shoulder as you give him lots of head scratches and belly rubs.

He loves to play!  He needs a back yard where he can run, bounce, roll around, patrol, and take naps.

He does well with all types of dogs, happily sharing his toys and rolling on his back during playtime.  He is even nice to cats!

Augs is house trained, does great on the leash, and is trusted to freely roam the house. He knows ‘sit,’ ‘lay down,’ and ‘leave it,’ especially when treats are involved!

He loves walks and going to restaurant patios, but doesn’t always want to get in the car and sometimes gets carsick.

Auggie does not bark, but can be vocal with the most adorable moans, groans, and occasional deep howl.

He would do best in a home with another dog or someone who is home most of the time, as he loves companionship.  Auggie will do great in any home with people who will give him lots of love.

SPIN Pyrs are all in foster homes in the Dallas/Fort Worth area. Potential adopters are asked to make travel arrangements if they live elsewhere. All SPIN dogs are spayed or neutered, current on vaccinations and on heartworm prevention. Please go to our website www.SpinRescue.org and fill out an application for this great Great Pyrenees!
