My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Maya is around 6 yrs old. She is a female chihuahua mix! She is spayed, UTD on vaccinations & microchipped! She gets along with all sized humans, dogs & coexists with cats.

Maya is a super sweet lady who loves attention from her people - she is always the happiest to see you when you get back! She can be independent & loves to observe her surroundings! She would love a comfy bed to sleep in, sometimes under the covers, & a spot on your lap once she is comfortable. She is potty trained but accidents should be expected while she adjusts. She walks well on a leash & would love a secured, attached yard to sunbathe in & get fresh air - she thrives on her time outside.

Additional adoption info

In some circumstances, meeting the dog and a home check are done at the same time if the dog is ready to be adopted. We do have conversation with potential adopters prior to them meeting the dog. If they are interested in adopting a puppy who is not ready for adoption (not altered, not UTD, etc) they are able to put a hold on the pup until ready for adoption.

Pathways for Paws was founded in October 2019. We are a 501(c)(3) non-profit, no-kill, animal welfare organization.

Our mission is to make spay/neuter & vaccinations affordable to those in our communities. By achieving this, we will help prevent the neglect & abuse of dogs. All dogs in our care are spay/neutered, given the age appropriate vaccinations and microchipped before going to their FURever families.

We work with rescues & fellow animal advocates to continue growing a network of volunteers and supporters.
